- Monday: no school for the kids. I always love an extra day off from school, and I don't even go to school (haha), so I can imagine the kids love the break. We had lunch at Kazoku and I took Austen to the doctor. He's been sick for months.
- Tuesday: We found out that Austen has mono. I don't know that he's had mono this whole time (I sure hope not), but he just hasn't gotten better. After Mom suggested we have blood work done, and Dad wondered if he could have mono (good call, Dad!), I urged the doctor to have some blood taken. He seemed reluctant, because Austen didn't have some of the typical symptons of mono (enlarged spleen and swollen lymph nodes), but I really pushed for it. I mean, geez ... he has every other symptom: sore throat, fever, weight loss, extreme fatigue. So the blood work was done on Monday. Thankfully, his CBC came back perfectly normal, but he tested positive for mono. Doctors really annoy me sometimes.
- Wednesday: Kale had his very first singing lesson. Woohoo! He will go once a week, for a half hour and then he's expected to practice all week. Austen came home early from school.
- Today: Austen stayed home to rest.

Glad you pushed for the blood work. You need a new doctor. We sure and try the wheat grass juice. It worked for Darcy. She didn't like it but it sure worked.

i didn't know you could go to school with Mono.... they must of changed the rules since I was in school. When I had it, they told Mom that I would be out of school for about 2 months and Mom swore that come hell or high water I'd be back in 2 weeks and by God, I was after she force fed me so much wheat grass juice I thought I would die. Funny thing is, now I love the stuff!! Go figure. Hope you feel better Austen and stop kissing all the girls cuz thats how you got it... hahaha!! I of course was kissing all the boys.

I wish I had made the suggestion sooner! But now you can work on his problem. How good would he be in BB if he was well? Have a super weekend! Love Dad/Grandpa
