Here is the first video from the Rockin Roots 2009 show in Bakersfield. This clip includes the Intro and Eyes of Desire. Jordan wasn't able to play, so their friend Mikki filled in on bass. From what the guys told me, and from what I see in the video, he fit right in and did a great job. Thanks, Mikki, for filling in!
I have to say ... I sure miss seeing Kale up there. It still feels weird to me that he isn't a part of this. And while Milo is a super amazing guitarist, and a great person, he really isn't a singer. So that is especially hard for me to see. I'm not sure how they justify having him sing, while saying Kale "isn't up to par". That makes no sense to me. Anyway, that being said, the instruments sound great and in the videos that follow this, the crowd gets pretty large, and are definitely into the band! Way to go CV! Awesome job!

I have to agree with you. I think they need Kale back. I don't care what they say. We need Kale Back.
I have a few honest opinions to state. HAHA. Hopefully know one kills me for this -
first and foremost, I DO miss Kale. But, Milo isn't too bad. Maybe its just the video, but he doesn't sound too bad. Its not recording quality, but its definitely not horrible.
secondly, i dislike jeremiah's screaming very much. I don't know if he was nervous or what, but he sounded all over the place and very pitchy.
other than that, they sounded great and looked like they had a great turn out! :)
Hi Lex, I'm not sure if you'll see this, but I agree with you. Milo did do a decent job on this song. Their final song of the set is a new song, and it really didn't sound good. I probably won't even put it on youtube. But, yeah this song was definitely done pretty well. I also agree about the screaming, but I think it's because I'm not a huge fan of screaming, and I find that there's just too much of it. :) Other than that, the instruments were great!

best ! I can understand the drum beat ! LOL Kale I dont care what anyone says I loved whatching and Listening to you all play your songs and really I thought you sounded better than the other guy!

Haha. Yes, just to clarify. I have only posted one video so far. *giggle giggle* When I have time, I will post two or three others, and yes, there is one that I won't post (a new song) where Milo was not quite up to par. So, since it is a new song, we won't post anything until it has been fine tuned. And as previously stated, I think Milo did a fine job on Eyes of Desire. He was no better or worse than Kale. That was why I had stated "I sure miss Kale". My confusion lies in the fact that Kale probably sounds a tiny bit better than Milo, so not sure why he's out? Anyway, didn't mean to start a debate. Haha. Love you guys! Kristen
I agree, Kale sounds just as good, if not better, then Milo. Not very fair that he is out and Milo is in - but maybe it was just meant to be. Im sure Kale prefers not to be in a band with a bunch of "crap" talkers anyways. :)
